Reports from the NFL Combine in Indianapolis look good for Devin McCourty, after he impressed scouts at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, AL earlier this year. ESPN reports:
The NFL combine wrapped up on Tuesday, and as far as Big East defensive players go, it appears … Devin McCourty solidified [his] status as [a] potential first-rounder.
They further add:
McCourty may not be flashy, but he handles his business and is showing he is worth considering late in the first round. McCourty officially ran the 40-yard dash in 4.48 seconds, and he looked fluid changing directions during drills, just like he did in Mobile.
Devin McCourty, along with Rutgers’ other potential first round pick Anthony Davis, Kevin Haslam and Damaso Munoz will be appearing at the Rutgers Spectacular 6 show at Scarlet Fever, 109 Somerset Street, New Brunswick on March 14, 2010 from noon to 2:00 PM. Rutgers has only had one first round draft pick in history — Kenny Britt in last year’s draft. We had Kenny Britt at last year’s show. Maybe there will be two taken this year (comment below on your thoughts)?

Sports Fan Promotions is pleased to announce the 2010 Rutgers Spectacular show. As in past years, the show features the latest Scarlet Knights to have ended their eligibility and await their futures in the NFL draft. The show this year will be on Sunday, March 14, 2010 from noon to 2:00 PM at the Scarlet Fever store at 109 Somerset Street in New Brunswick, NJ. Parking is readily available either on the street or in the Ferren Mall Parking Deck across from the train station (parking in the Deck is free on Sundays).
This year’s show features what could be the highest NFL draft pick ever out of Rutgers, offensive lineman Anthony Davis. Davis is a graduate of Piscataway High School and is an All American. Another show participant is Devin McCourty who follows his brother Jason to the NFL. Recent projections have Devin as a late first round or second round pick. Offensive lineman Kevin Haslam and linebacker Damaso Munoz will also appear.
Tickets and more information for the event can be found here.

I am happy to announce that I will be hosting an event with Jeff Hardy. It should be fantastic!! I will finalize the location and price structure for the event in the next day or two and update these on my website. I encourage everyone to pre order tickets as this will probably a good turnout. I think that Jeff Hardy has been one of the most loved WWE Talents in a long time and the public will love getting a chance to meet him. It is also my honor to have Shannon Moore there as he has been a great Star as well. I will let all know when I have more info.

Come to the Hooters at 25 Route 23 in Wayne, NJ on Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM to meet to meet World Champions Phil Coke and Francisco Cervelli. Both will be signing autographs, which will be available for $25 each or $40 for both. Photographs and other items will also be available for purchase.
Left handed reliever Phil Coke was a valuable member of the NY Yankees bullpen. He was a setup man to closer Mariano Rivera during most of the season and in the playoffs. Catcher Francisco Cervelli filled in admirably mid-season for regular catcher Jorge Posada and backup Jose Molina when both were injured. Cervelli batted .298 and could be a long term answer for the Yankees at catcher. The Yankees have had many great catchers in Yogi Berra, Jorge Posada (one of the core four along with Rivera, SS Derek Jeter and starting pitcher Andy Pettitte) and the late captain Thurman Munson.
You never know how good someone will turn out to be, so come to Hooters and meet these future baseball stars and Yankees American League and World Champions.
While you’re here, check out our other upcoming appearances and the merchandise available in our online store.

The official word on Ware is that there is no reason to beware of the Ware. Danny is a great guy off the field and was friendly with all fans and guests. All who came got their item signed and a picture if they wanted.

Just to update any of the fans that did not get to meet Matt at the show this past weekend. The first reaction is boy is he big and maybe even a little intimidating. After spending some time with him I would like everyone to know he was great. He was easy to work with pleasant to all the fans and he had more knowledge of the show industry than any guest I have ever had. All in all I give Matt an A and he will be a big star in the future.

A great time was had by all. Jamaal brought down some of his old Rutgers teammates with him. Including one of my favorites Willie Foster. I did not recognize Willie as he now has short hair. The next show will be on Oct 12 with Kevin Boothe and William Beatty. The rumor Mill has it that Danny Ware is next.
